When there are no pending tasks on the dashboard, you can now turn on an alert so your browser notifies you as soon as a new one becomes available — no need to keep the tab open and refreshing.
1. What changes
Previously, once a salesperson ran out of available tasks, the only way to know when a new one arrived was to keep the dashboard open and refresh it manually (or wait for it to auto-refresh). Now, at that same moment — when the dashboard shows there are no more tasks — the option to turn on a browser notification appears.
2. How it works
- When there are no available tasks on the dashboard, you'll see a "Notify me when tasks arrive" switch.
- Turning it on prompts the browser to ask for notification permission. You need to accept it for this to work.
- While the switch is on and your calling line is connected, the system periodically checks whether a task has become available for you.
- As soon as one does, you get a native browser notification (with a short sound) — you'll see it even if the tab is in the background.
- Once the notification fires, the check stops automatically; if you run out of tasks again later, you can turn it back on.
If the browser doesn't have permission or you've blocked it, the switch shows as disabled with an explanation — you can enable notifications from your browser settings and try again.
3. Requirements
- Your calling line must be connected: only the tab with the active line checks task availability and shows the notification.
- Notification permission granted in the browser.
- A browser that supports native notifications — if yours doesn't, the switch doesn't appear.
Conclusion
This feature removes the need to manually watch the dashboard while waiting for new tasks: the browser alerts you at the right moment, even from another tab.
Relevant scenarios
- During low-volume periods, a salesperson can turn on the alert and focus on something else while waiting, instead of checking the dashboard every few minutes.
Note on this release: the screenshot of the notification switch in the "no tasks" state is still pending — the calling line couldn't be safely turned on in the demo account during this automatic run.
